Segovia, Spain

La ciudad de Segovia es una media hora fuera de Madrid en tren, pero parece totalmente diferente que el capital. En Segovia, se puede ver el antiguo acueducto que fue construido en el siglo I! El monumento está bien mantenido y es una estructura maravillosa. 

The city of Segovia is only half an hour outside of Madrid by train, but it seems totally different from the capital. There is an ancient aqueduct in Segovia that was built in the first century! The monument is very well preserved and it is a marvelous structure.

Hay muchos bares al lado del acueducto, donde se puede admirar la estructura mientras tomando un cafe. 

There are lots of bars next to the aqueduct, where you can admire the structure while sipping on a cup of coffee.

Barcelona

Cuando se va a España, hay que ir a Barcelona. La arquitectura es maravillosa y hay tantos lugares a visitar que nunca se siente aburrido. Me quedé en un hotel cerca del palau de la musica catalana, un edificio bonito protegido por la UNESCO. Había un hombre dibujando este edificio y llamaba la atención de todos los turistos que pasaban, como esta mujer.

When you go to Spain, you have to go to Barcelona. The architecture is marvelous and there are so many places to visit that you never get bored. I stayed in a hotel close to the Palau de la musica catalana, a beautiful building protected by UNESCO. There was a man drawing this building and attracted the attention of all the tourists who passed by, like this woman.

Tenía envidia de los niños que viven en Barcelona y pueden jugar en el parque donde el pabellón Alemán esta situado, como este niño. 

I was envious of the children who live in Barcelona and can play in the park where the German Pavilion is located, like this little boy.

Barcelona es una ciudad muy cultural y me pasé este mercado de arte en las calles. 

Barcelona is a very cultural city and I passed by this art market in the streets.

Sevilla

Fui a España en Mayo y viví con una familia acogida en Sevilla durante un mes. Fui a muchos lugares en Sevilla y el sur de España. Sevilla tiene una gran influencia Arabe, que era evidente en los edificios, la arquitectura y la comida. Puesto que aprendía Arabe y la cultura Arabe me interesa mucho, me encantaba los monumentos históricos en Andalucía.

I went to Spain in May and lived with a host family in Seville for a month. I visited many places in Seville and the south of Spain. Seville is heavily influenced by the Arabs, which is evident in the buildings, architecture and food. Since I used to learn Arabic and I am very interested in Arab culture, I loved the historical monuments in Andalusia. 

Fui a Alcazár en Sevilla, que era un castillo para la familia real. Allí, tiene un baño arabe bajo del suelo. Pues era humido y el agua no parecía limpio, pero se siente muy tranquilo en este lugar con el agua.

I went to Alcazár in Seville, which was a castle for the royal family. There is an arab bath underground and it was humid. The water did not seem too clean, but it is very relaxing.

Sacqué esta foto en Plaza de España en Sevilla. Había dos niñas allí que se parecían mucho. Sus padres estaban sacando fotos de ellas y aunque eran jóvenes, eran buenas modelas! Jaja 

I took this photo in Plaza de España in Seville. There were two girls there who looked alike. Their parents were taking photos of them and despite their young age, they were good models! Haha

Esta foto fue sacada en la casa de pilatos en Sevilla, que es un palacio. Me gustó la tranquilidad allí porque no había tantos turistas que en Alcazár. En esta foto, me gusta que ella llevaba un vestido amarillo, que pegaba bien con el color de las columnas de la casa. 

This photo was taken at the casa de pilatos in Seville, which is a palace. I liked the tranquility there because there were not as many tourists as in Alcazár. In this photo, I like that the outfit of the lady is yellow, which matches the color of the columns in the house well.

Esta es la torre famosa de la catedral en centro Sevilla. La catedral era una mezquita, pero fue convertida en una catedral después de la reconquista de los cristianos en Sevilla en el siglo trece. Entonces, la torre tiene dos estilos- el fondo tiene un estilo Arabe pero la parte arriba fue añadida y tiene un estilo occidental. 

This is the famous tower of the cathedral in central Seville. The cathedral used to be a mosque, but was converted into a cathedral after the Christians reconquered Seville in the 13th century. So, the tower has two styles- the bottom has an Arab style but the top part was added and has an occidental style.

Esta es una vista de la torre de la catedral desde la salida del Alcazár. El centro de Sevilla tiene muchos monumentos magníficos y se puede verlos desde los restaurantes cercanos o el río Guadalquivir o mientras haciendo las compras. 

This is a view of the cathedral's tower from the exit of Alcazár. The center of Seville has many magnificent monuments and you can see them from restaurants nearby or the river Guadalquivir or while shopping.

Roadtrip In Cuba

Hello! Welcome to my travel photography blog! I went to Cuba last summer and was enchanted by this country's beauty. We drove from Havana in the west, to Santiago de Cuba in the east. It was a grueling ten-hour bus ride, but luckily we stopped at Cienfuegos halfway through for an hour. It was here in this city that I snapped a photo of an old man smoking a cigar outside his home, which is what many foreigners imagine Cuba would be like.
